~30 Minute Figure Sketches

Here are a couple of 30 minute sketches I did later last week.  I've been enjoying practicing my figure work and I've found a few great resources online that scroll through random pictures based on a few setting for subject matter and time between changes.

30sec & 60sec figure gestures

I enjoy doing the quick 30 - 60 second figure sketches every now and then.  It keeps me on my toes and loosens me up, keeping me from getting caught up in detail.

Rose Sketch

 I'll bring some older sketches that I've added to my sketches sub-page up to the front here and tell you a little bit about them.

I painted this rose in Painter for my girlfriend.  Of course she likes flowers and enjoyed the painting as her iphone background for a while.  I've always liked the natural brush stroke effect and paint mixing in Painter and need to work more with it.
